japanese new years food Osechi

in japan, on new years day, we eat Osechi Ryouri. osechi ryouri is like those. they are what i had at home for 2016 and 2017 2016

the last picture with soup is also eaten on new year called Ozouni. the soup with Mochi again :D this Ozouni has some types of soup depending on the area you are in japan. in my area, we have the soup with no color but some other places they have different color and taste. and these osechi ryouri has lot of stuff, fish, meat, veggies. every food has meaning. ( i dont know which one has what meaning though...)
